Let This Homemade Lip Balm Keep You Kissable This Winter

Because no one alive wants to kiss crusty puckers.

Keeping your lips moisturized should be an essential part of your daily routine, if you want to have soft, supple, and ageless puckers. One of the first parts of the face that shows aging is the lips, and I am all about keeping the people guessing. We just do not want fine lines creeping up on our vessels of love.

What You Need:

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp shea butter

  • 1 tsp almond oil

  • 1 tsp beeswax

  • 4 drops lime essential oil

  • 1 drop lemon essential oil

  • Pot for Boiling water

  • Glass bowl (that can be placed on top of pot)

  • Sterilized jar (disinfected with 70% alcohol)

What To Do:

  1. Place all ingredients (except essential oils) in a glass bowl.

  2. Heat up boiling water in a pot then place the glass bowl with ingredients inside the pot to belt the butters/wax (double boiling method).

  3. Once melted, remove the glass bowl from heat and let cool down 10 mins.

  4. Add the essential oils to the mix, and stir well.

  5. Pour the mix into a sterilized jar and allow it to cool uncovered for up to an hour

  6. Place lid and keep in cool dry area

How To Use:

Apply to lips as often as needed. Tip: Apply to your lips before bed to keep lips moisturized as you sleep.

Shea Butter - Conditions and moisturizes

Almond Oil - Conditions and moisturizes

Beeswax - Retains the moisture to keep skin hydrated

Lemon & Lime Oil - Anti-microbial, relaxing, ans sweet aromas
